Exploding Kittens: The Board Game is a fun, unpredictable, and at times delightfully chaotic experience. It’s a fantastic adaptation of the original card game, bringing the same quirky humor and tension to a new format that feels fresh while staying true to its roots.

We’ve played it several times with great enjoyment. The board adds a new layer of strategy without overcomplicating the gameplay. Even players unfamiliar with the original Exploding Kittens can jump right in and have a blast, though chances are they’ll want to try the original card game afterward!

The game is fast-paced, full of surprises, and perfect for casual game nights. One small wish would be the possibility of adding extra action cards or expansion content in the future to keep the replayability even higher.

Highly recommended for fans of the original and newcomers alike!

If you are a fan of the Exploding Kittens card game, you are going to love this board game. You can play as six characters, including fan-favourites like Taco Cat, Watermelon Cat, and Sushi Cat. The artwork, illustrations, and attention to detail are evident in this one.

Setting it up is super simple and follows the usual quick and easy instructions that you can expect from Exploding Kitten games. The goal of the game is to reach the end, but you might need to make a few attempts to get the exact move count needed to win.

The one feature that stands out in this game is the interactive "flipping" board, which lets you switch the game board between Calm Mode and Chaos Mode. Switching between these two modes made the game exciting as it added an element of unpredictability just like the card game.

I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun party game to play with up to 6 players that is quick to learn and set up.

Here were the pros:

* Game got better over time just like most games where the understanding of the strategy took a couple times to play it.

* The flip of the board was a nice touch.

* I like the pace of the game.

Here were some opportunities:

* Need to add some weight to the pages when you flip the board so it doesn't come up off the table.

* There were a couple of scenarios where we couldn't find in the rules what to do. Example: When the cards are exposed from the deck and you swap top and bottom, do you put the exposed back on the bottom and/or what happens with the bottom one. Is that exposed?

* I think it would be better if the exposed cards go back into the piles as is (not exposed) once the players turn is done

* Once everyone is close to the end the exploding kitten issue is losing cards. If you have three or less already then it isn't much of an issue. I wonder if there could be some rule where you go back to earlier in the board or skip your next turn, etc.
