Can you give the perfect clue before anyone else? What Were You Thinking? is a guessing game for horrible mind readers, and it's as fun to watch as it is to play.

Break into two teams. Shuffle the Letter Tiles and place them on The Board until it’s full. Pick one person from each team to be the Guesser. It’s your team’s job to get your Guesser to say the word from the Word Card by giving them a two word clue that starts with letters from The Board. For example, if your word is “Penguin,” your team might decide to give “Snow Bird” as a clue. But hurry, because if the other team yells out a clue first, their Guesser can guess before yours. If they get it right, that team gets to flip over the letters they used for a clue (Ex. if the winning clue is “waddling tuxedo,” they’d flip over “w” and “t”.) The team that flips 5 letters in a row wins.

This family board game makes you flex your creativity to think up unique (or outrageous) clues. But it's also an easy-to-learn and simple-to-play strategy game that's different every time you play.

What's In the Box?

What Were You Thinking? comes with:

  • 36 Letter Tiles
  • 100 Cards
  • 1 Board

Plus, one instruction manual that you will probably skim.

    Amazing company

My son loves the various Exploding Kittens games, and we play them as a family. As my son’s birthday approaches, I ordered a couple new games. Unfortunately, the order seems to have been lost in transit... this is not a reflection upon Exploding Kittens. as it was USPS that lost the item. I reached out about my order not arriving, and quickly a replacement was sent out. This is the type of customer service that we wish more companies adopted. I appreciate your help with this situation, and my son will be so excited on his birthday to enjoy these new games. Thank you for your creative games, and helpful business practices.

    Uproarious fun for all!

Ever wanted to learn how to read minds? Well this is NOT going to help you with that. However, if you wanted to laugh and have a fantastic time with your friends and family, it WILL help with that.

    An Unexpected Oatmeal Game

This is a wonderful game that is good for competitive and collaborative groups alike. We first played on the collaborative mode and had such a fun time as one team trying to figure out how to best describe the secret word to the guesser - it was funny to see what each of us thought the other would get. Sometimes we were right - and sometimes... Not! This mode was very different than other Oatmeal games and really made us think (but in a good way) and collaborate without giving too much away. It was very refreshing and fun!

Once on competitive mode, it was more more "traditional Oatmeal" but still just as fun, with the competitive aspect of trying to make sure that you are more quick thinking than the other group. It is still a unique game that made us think and work together. We thought it was so fun, a new one to add into the rotation and we truly enjoyed every second of this game - regardless of the mode you play.
